School Council

School Council

From your School Council Chair;

Hi Ocelot parents

School Council usually meets at the school on the 2nd Wednesday of ‘most months’ and currently we are holding our meetings virtually, everyone is welcome!

All parents are welcome and invited to attend our virtual meetings.

Our meetings are always under one hour in length and we promise not to volunteer you to sign up for jobs.

We are looking for new committee members.

WHATS YOUR ROLE? - As a Parent of an EOJHS student, you are automatically a voice on the School Council and are welcome to attend any or all council sessions even if not holding a formal council role and we want and need to hear from you!

WHAT COMMITMENT IS NEEDED? -You can come to 1 meeting or all of them, unless you want a specific board role you are welcome to come and just listen in or participate in discussions whenever you have time, we know life is busy!

WHY WE NEED SCHOOL COUNCILS? – They are an important forum through which members of school communities play an advisory role in school improvement planning.

OUR PURPOSE? - Advise the principal and the school board respecting matters relating to the school. It is a means for parents and community members to work together with the school to support and enhance student learning.

For questions for the school council , or items you would like us to raise at the school council meetings please contact the council chair Jackie Heuver, at eojhcouncil@gm.fsd38.ab.ca
